Hello, Im new here... I bought an HID kit for my 01 s10. it has a 4 headlight setup. 9005 are the drl's/highbeams, the 9006 are the low beams.

i installed the hid kit (which to clarify, are the 9006 bulbs). my problem is that the hids always stay on, day and night, while at the same time, my drls dont work anymore. i want to keep the drls on during the day so that i wont wear out the hids so fast. is there a wiring harness or relay i need to buy to correct the problem?

Sounds like a hookup error; re-check the wiring work. If your halogen high beams were your DRLs before the low beam HIDs were installed, the high beams should still work the same as they did.
