Question about routing wires in a headlamp

Hi everyone,

Background:
I've got a gen-4 Hella/4100k Philips D2S that I was going to install in the H7 projectors on a 2004 Kia Optima.

Problem:
The wiring seems a bit different than what I expected. The harness plugs into the headlamp housing itself and it seems like there's additional wiring sealed inside that connects to the bulb.

Am I going to have to cut a hole into the bulb access plug to run the wiring to the ballast?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Are interested in a reversible or non reversible solution?
A non reversible solution will look better.

What'd you have in mind for non-reversible solutions?

Thanks!
PS: Are you the guy who did the DIY lights on the Taurus SHO?

If there is room, there is a lot of cosmetics to be gained having a lvq212 inside headlamp. If there is not enough room in headlamp, u will still have a original wiring that terminates at the bulb, which is not ideal. By shortening the original headlamp wiring or using a differnt trigger (like ignition), there will be one less wire going to it. Before making any wiring, decide what do u want to trigger it, where power comes from, where to get high power ground and so on...

And yes, I am the builder of the SHO HID headlamp.

Thanks for the quick replies!

All the red newbie flags and flashing lights have just gone off. I think I'm in WAY over my head on this one.

Does anyone know of a place where I can get this set-up professionally installed (in Southern California)?

Otherwise, I think I'm just going to buy some Silverstars...
