Hi peepz,

First of all --> Dont mind the faults i write in this post,i'm from Belgium so i'll try to be understandable

About 1 year ago i changed my original Halogen lights to HID lights. It is not a conversion, but i buyed totally new lightunits from VW.They are the original HID lights.

But i was wondering if it is possible to have more blue light.I have a blue car,and i would like to have a more blue color.

Maybe i have to buy bulbs with an other Kelvin value, but i dont know which one.
This is the type of bulbs i have now.

So my question is : Which type of bulb do i have to install to have a maximum of blue color?
Here you can find some pics of the car :

Very nice images! Sweet car and interior! :D

You can go on ebay and get some osram 5000k bulbs or philips 6000k (but it will be around the $200USD range)

herman reminded of a question i wanted to ask about the volvo's hid system. there's a few of them booting around gta area. i notice that there's only 1 main reflector in the housing. there's not enough room for an additional reflector for the high beam function. how do they keep it DOT legal? i can't figure out how they produce the high beam function without having an actual reflector?

Bora:

Bluer bulbs will look bluer, but it will always mean lower output/lower usability. U can see all details on this on http://faq.auto.light.tripod.com/hl-hid-bulbs.htm
Ultinons can be had used by people who find thenm too blue for real savings. They usually end up on ebay.com or to the classified ads: http://www.network54.com/Forum/322018

Byron:

Appearantly, Volvos HAVE a horisontal moving reflector that makes high beam.

I would probably offer $100 for them.

You could certainly get 'very creative' as I did and pull your projectors out of your HID's (they are OEM Bora HID's, right?) and carefully bend your reflector towards the bulb just a tad bit, as I did in my retrofit.

I fitted OEM Bora HID projectors into my reflector - and while I was at it I bent the cutoff shield a bit to achieve a beautiful sharp blue cutoff line.

Just a thought!
