Reflector Question

I have an after-market TYC Euro Reflector headlight for my 1998 Blazer. With HID in it there is a V shaped light output pattern. While I plan on having Valeos retrofitted, just for the sake of doing it I want to alter the reflector to have a ____/ cutoff, how would I go about doing this. I believe one of the single most important factors is the cap that shields the bulb, I once blocked off the top with a shield and the V pattern went away, but I had a huge shadow from the return wire. Also, if you look at any IS300, LS430, G35, they all have a /----- pattern on the actual reflector, how does this block any of the light from going below it? I just want to see if this is possible, thanks!

TYC has always had very low quality optical components in their headlights, so inserting an HID bulb in them will end up like garbage, regardless if a "belly" shiled is created. Historically, TYC has used H3 has lightsource in projector type optics, and that is just bad.

Alright well I found out it is going to be impossible to fix the crappy pattern from these reflectors, so since I have them open I am going to throw projectors in there, which ones should I use? I was thinking Valeo or E46 which I believe are from the TT. 1998 Chevy Blazers don't have much room to play with, so what do you guys think?
