I understand most of the headlight is sealed even the light blub on my stock headlight housing got a o-ring on it to prevent moist get in to the headlight lens , but then the Projector setup that I'm working on, I just want the Bi-xenon projector stick out half way , and leave the back part open , the problem is, i don't think I can get a good seal because even the light blub to the projector don't even seal it well, it's a set of bi-xenon from a Benz. if you have any better idea, please let me kow.

for those of you have done it without sealing it or open setup, please let me know if it works out?

Thanx

I'd recommend covering up this for these reasons:
  • D2S bulb plug is not waterproof. Water will seep in over time and 23KV start pulses may short through water and kill ballast over time.
  • All OEM HID projector units are made out of relatively thin plastic, making them mechanically much more frigile than any other component you have underhood.

    I have seen people using
  • Small CV joint boots - I really like that idea
  • round ABS plastic end caps found at plumbing dept.
  • Custom ones - I very proud of this one:

    (sorry for all the popups)
