Hi everyone, I have a 2002 Maxima and would like to upgrade my fog lights to HID. Does anyone have done this already? Is there enough space to put the HID system in the fog lights?
Do I need a lots of modifications?
I would appreciate any sugestions!!!

Thanks

HID foglights are pure foolishness. They'd be way too bright to be useful, and the blue-tinted light would bounce off the fog, annoying others and having you driving blind.

I got a question, are these "true" fog lights? or are they driving lights?

I've noticed on many, many new cars they are wrongly calling driving lights as Fog lights.

Fog lights have a amber lens, to see in DA FOG.

I don't see how these mis labled "fog lights" are actually driving lights.

Not all true fog lights are yellow or orange, there are clear ones too. Driving light is really a high beam or a spot light unit. MOst likely you will not find any real driving lights in any OEM application that are position really low. It will just defeat the purpose. I think where the confusion occurs is that some OEM's use fog lights or lights in that position as daytime running lights (DRL). DRL's sometimes called running or driving lights. A real driving light is not a DRL but in essence an auxuliary High Beam.
