I smiled at the black and white screen where two healthy babies sucked on their toes. "Mack look, those are our babies," I smiled. He squeezed my hand, "I know," his words were light and soothing. "Well, it looks good, they both seem to be developing quite well. With any luck you won't have to be enduced." The doctor grinned. I beamed back in return as she wiped the jelly off of my tummy. "Mindy, I don't want to scare though, but this preganacy will be rougher now that you're ending your second trimester. If you have any kinds of labor pains, notify me immediatly, we might have to put you on bed rest," I nodded. "this is very serious identical twins is very rare, and very serious." She smiled at me though, I have faith you're going to pull through," I nodded as I zipped up jeans.
When Mack and I had left the doctor's office we stopped at a pizzaria and shared a pepperoni pizza. "Are you nervous?" Mack looked at me concerned. "A little, twins is kind of scary," I admitted. He took hold of my hand. "We need to think of names," I said. He laughed, "I was just thinking of that!" "what if we let the kids pick?" I asked. Mack raised his eyebrows in surprise, "you trust them that much?" I giggled, "maybe we need a back up name?" He nodded.
i knocked on Scarlet's door and Jakob answered. "Hey Mindy, are you here for your crew?" I nodded, "Well come on in, I think Scarlet was trying to settle a toy dispute," he winked. I blushed wondering if it was just between my three. I followed him into their self proclaimed toy room and immideiately saw that it was Danny and Kyle. "Hey guys!" I said loudly, Daniel looked up "Momma!" He dropped the toy and waddled over. "were you being not nice?" I asked sternly. He stared at me wide eyed for a few seconds and looked at Scarlet holding Kyle. "yes, no sare," he gurgled. "You need to go say sorry to Kyle," I turned him around and watched him relunctantly apologize. "Mommy, Scarlet let us have cheetos!" Madrian squealed as she and Sean walked in. "Hey guys! Yeah? that's cool!" I smiled. "Yeah, and we got to go feed the carrots to the horses!" SEan exclaimed. I smiled. WEll that's awesome, but guess what we have to get you home for your baseball game!" He nodded and ran out to the car. "How was the doctor's office?" Scarlet asked helping me with Daniels bag. "Oh the usual stuff, and oh yeah and how twins are a very serious and we need to closely monitor me until September." I groaned. "Oh you know and now Mack jumps whenever I have an itch, scratch...you know anything that might mean I'm going to have these kids earlier than everyone though," I sighed. She giggled at m pessimism. "well thank you so much for watching them! and I'm sorry my son is not a good sharer," I smiled at Kyle. He giggled and gave me a toothy smile. I waved and trotted to the car.
