I scrated Jimmy's nose and kissed him. "you're precious," i crooned he whickered his agreement. Rebel had leanred to adpat to pasture life, and now could be just as bossy as Jimmy. But today he came and nuxxled me on the other side, the side that I didn't have treats in my pocket. I laughed and gave him a kiss. "Hey Rebel rouser," I smid and flusffed his foofy forelock. he had a nice mane and tai for an appy, as oppaed to porr Jimmy o had nothing for a tail so he had to get extensins for shows. I fed then both the las tof my tresats and haltered Rebel, I'll rie you next," i winked at Jimmy. he threw me a whinny and trotted don the hill.
" Rebel you brat!" i spat for the third time. he looked at me curiosly and whinnied acheivement. I snortan and wiped dirt off my face. I grabbed my reins and yanked hard. 'come on!' i said. i untacked Rebel, and put him out in the pasture agian. jimmy's ride went smoothely as it usually does. i smiled and hugged him. "you otta teach that brat a few manners," i whispered. jimmy snorted as if trying t say 'believe me i have!' I laughed and got off. i turned him out again when he was cool, and then went upt o my apartment. cooper was sittng at the door. his face sullen and grave. he crumpling up a piece of paper. "What's wrong?'" i smiled. "I have to appear before a private jury,'" he said haorsely. I sat down next to him and weboth sat in silience.
"Cooper, do you want me to go?" i asked finally. 'nope," he answered. i winced. "Sorry, but this happened in the past, and i just don't like talking about it to strangers, and .. and.." he trailed off. i understood. "I'm sorry," I said. "Want pancakes?" i asked cheerily. "sre," he smiled. we went inside and made blueberry pancakes and sausage links for supper. "mmm," I smiled savoring each lucious peice of sausage. "i haven't had breakfast for dinner in a looong time...since they got divorced," i sighed. Cooper looke dover to make sure i wasn't about to cry.
"How do you like Rebel?" he asked. "He's got some learning to do. Desn't understand where the rider goes," i laughed. Cooper laughed. he seemed fine when I go him, bu he's an english horse," Cooper smiled shamefully. "i see," "Well he can learn new things can't he?" i smiled. "You're not mad?" he sounded surprised. "of course i'm not mad," I laughed. I took a sip of apple juice and sighed. "do you want to come with me to walk Missy?" I asked. "sure," he said. missy walked ahead of us daintily sniffing at curious objects. "She's so adorable,I crooned. Cooper took my hand. "Lik eyou," he whispered. but i didn'thtink he was talking to e so I aid nothing. "Emmy, I'm pretty tired all this court stuff has made me a little depressed. I-I'll see you later," he forced a smile and walked off. I smiled and called missy, she scampered over and i picke dher up. "I't gett nippy, let's get in," i cooed and she licked my nose affectionately. I laughed and we went into the apartmnt she snuggld up in her new bed and I showered and changed it to sweat pants and a t-shrts I pulled some slippers on and wrapped a blanket around me. "Missy want some cocoa?" i asked she barked excited. i smie da nd made both of use some coccoa and marshmallows. i pured hers into a cup and pu thte marshmallows on a saucer and then we snuggled and watch TV.
