I had now been locked in a cold garage withonly a hospital gown on. i was cold and dirty, and I was starviing. I walked the perrimeter of ther room to keep warm and get my mind off the hunger. But the baby was savagely kicking trying to tell me it was just as hungry. I would just rub m stomach passionately and keep calm.
Later this afternoon. COlon came in with a tray of food on it. It was hot and looked home made. "Well, Mindy here isyour dinner but you can't have it until you kiss me, and tell me you're still inlove with me," he said. I was hungrier than ever and the baby was too. I hesitated at firt. but Itepped forward an ksseed colon a long passionate kiss one afer another . "I love you I breathed. he wouldn't let go of me. "That's good girl," he whispered and let me sit down. He smiled watcing me eat all the food It was mouthwatering and just about the best food in the world.
Thank you Colon," i said without making eye contact. "Mindy we have some unfinised bussioness," he sadi each worl rasied curiousitiesin my mind. "Colon I'm pregant there's not much you can do," I said defensively. I was able to be nice since I had food in my stomach. Colon touched my stomach and smiled. "I know, isn't it great our first baby," he smiled. I relized what his plan was, he going to brainwash me!
"Yeah great," I said. "Mindy yu're my wife you know," he said. "No i'm not," i shot. Yeas you are," he kissed my chestandthen began to untie the gown. i tried to move away but his grip was to tight. "Colon stop," I said. "Mindy as my wife you do as I lease ou to do," he smiled evily. Then he slipped my gown off.
i couldn't believe this. "Stop give me that back!" I said. he slapped me. 'No he stocked off grapped a cage, the tye of cage we put Misty in when we were going some where. grapped my arm and threw me in. "Your husband hasn't come and saved you yetdear the ransome is higher now!" he said. "And if he doesn't come?" I asked afraid of the consequences you marry me ohave this child and forget aboutyour previouslife," he said and shut the door lockedit and then left. i was not with nothng on in a cold cage. I laid down in a ball andprayed for my Bryan to come and get me...


i know this is gruesome but I had nothing else to write so yeah

It had been atleast a day since I had talked to Mindy. Bryan hadn't been around or called. No had called them and no one had seen them.
I sat on the couch listening to Jakob noodle on the piano. He began to pound out some bits of "In the Mood" - he always played by ear; all the time I'd ever known him, I'd never seen him get near a piece of music.
I was getting anxious. It had only been a day. It's just seperation anxiety, I told myself.
I sat for a while longer. Jakob began his own version of an old traditional Irish lullabye.
"Jakob," I said slowly.
"Yes, a thaisce?" he replied sweetly.
"Have you heard from Mindy or Bryan lately?" I asked him.
"No," he said. "Why?"
"I don't know. I'm anxious for some reason. No one's heard from them."
"Scarlet, it's been a day," Jakob reminded me.
"I don't know," I said, "I just feel weird about it."
He nodded. "Call them."
I went to the phone and dialed their number. It rang and then their answering machine came on. I hung up.
I shivered. "I'm sorry, I just..."
Jakob came over and put his arms around me.
"It's all right, Cee," he whispered. "Do you want to drive up there and say hi? They're probably outside."
I nodded and Jakob got our coats and we went out to the truck.
We got to Mindy's and there was no one around.
We looked around the stablesm the pasture. I went and rang the doorbell. No one answered.
"They couldn't be out now, could they?" I asked Jakob. "Mindy's pretty pregnant, and Madrian..."
Jakob sighed heavily, his face looked aged suddenly.
"Well," he said after a little while, "Let's go home. We'll wait and give them a call tomorrow. Maybe the'll be home..."
I nodded. We walked away to the car. I looked back at the house. Mindy would never take off without telling us...

Nick and I were walking back up to the lodges when I saw Scarlet and Jakob.
Scarlet looked extremely anguished so I jogged up to the couple.
"Hey" I said a little breathlessly.
"You look upset, is there something wrong?" I asked and slipped my hand into Nick's as he came up behind me.
"I'm worried" Scarlet said, her lip on the verge of trembling, she took a deep breath "It could just be me being paranoid, but I am really worried about Mindy and Bryan." She paused, "I haven't heard from them at all today".
"We went over to their house" Jakob explained, "there was no sign of them. We're going to give them a call tomorrow" He slipped an arm around Scarlet.
"I hope they're all allright. Mindy was such an adored person, and she and Bryan made a gorgeous couple, and family. I can't think of anyone who'd have anything against them. I really hope everyone is Ok" I said.
I gave Scarlet a quick hug.
"Is there anything we can do to help?" Nick asked.

I smiled at Nick.
"Well, depending on whether they're home tomorrow or not, we'll see," I said.
Jakob nodded. "You'll be the first to know."
Ash squeezed Nick's hand. "Okay," she said.
"Goodnight," I said to Nick and Holly.
"Yeah," Nick said, "Night."
Jakob put his arm around me and led me to our apartment.
