I trotted easily around in the paddock, playing tag with Rainfall. it was so much fun bt i ws heard a familar sound. I stopped short and sniffed. "Bryan!" I whickered. i ran to the gate. And whinnied I trotted around impatiently. shilliing whinning This was not my idea of love, how come he just laughed? It was very annoying. Bryan walke dover boysihly his grin was wide. i didn't understand, i was his fiance and he was smiling because I was missing. I notced a girl following him she was very blonde. I lad my ears back and nipped him as he came to pat my head. "Hey," he sid acting like a mature adult. "Oh Bryan she acts so mean!" the girl whimpered. i went crazy. i whinnied and I bit I kicked. His nerve!" I watched tearfully as he wrapped her arms around her and walk with her to the barn. "Who was she?" I wondered. rainfall stood with me. i looked at him, I want to stay out here all night!" I said sadly. "He's been doing this for a long time," Rainfall said lovingly touchingmy nose. "What?" I asked. "You mean you didn't understnad why he was always gone, and working late?" Rainfall asked. "NO! I thought he was being honest!" I said I cried for Bryan. Didn't he know that i loved him...then it hit me...Bryan couldn't make commitments. He left Cameron after she had gotten preganent he was very grumpy after Madrian and now the minute i'm gone he dumps me for this dumb blonde 2 weeks after Daniel is born!
I walked slowly to he shed and stood alone not eating when i was brought in by Bryan I threw persisted to help him understand me. "I swear you're just like her, stubbron as a mule!" he slapped my rump hard. i turned and bit him in the arm and made sure to make it bleed. he slapped me again, by this time it didn't hurt. "STOP!" someone shouted. I stood quite still as Emily snated my leadrpe. Soberly I folowed her into the barn btnot after I had stepped on Bryan's feet. he watched me angrily. I smiled.
"What a jerk, I can't believe mindy is engaged to him," Emily muttered.. I whickered to her, i couldn't believe t myself. Emily groomed me and told me her deeptest secrets. I turned my head and nuzzled her, i understod just how she felt, just when you thought it was safe, and nothing could happen something horrible happens.
i was blanketed and my stalled was cleaned and Emily put me back in my stall, she sent a few minutes just quietly watching me eat dinner then left when she relized she was lte to meet Cooper for dinner. After I had finished my hay I layed down in the corner of my stall, i whined mournfully. What was going to happen, if I never culd be a human again, Bryan would take the girl home and make up some stupd excuse and the children would grow up thinking she was their mother, Rainfall and I would never ever could go to the olympics, everything would be gone....i wouldn't be able to handle it.
i rolled over and wished that I was uman i didn't become tired i just layed there until somebody noticed me. "Mindy?" I looked up. It was Holly. i moaned. she came in the stall. "Oh sweetie what wrong?" she crooned and storke dmy neck. i heard Bryan's voice and that stupid girls voic echoe. I laid my ears back Holly looked over. "Oh my gosh i know she's pretty stuoid, and Rob is bring the kids down to meet her. I stood up and looked at the stall guard, it was very good opprunutnity. I took the guard bettween my teeth and ripped it easily. i stepped out. "LOOSE hORSE!" Holly yelled.
Bryan looked at me. "DADDY!: i head Sean cry. I turned and whinnied happily. "WOW!" he breathed. I lowered my head and nuzzled him, "Oh you're so pretty...jut like my mommy," he crooned childlishly Rob had the two kid stroler. I walked over and looked it. Daniel was looking so much like me, he was sleeping Madrian looked at me curiously and held out her hands. I looked at her. she cooed. "Memmy!: she screamed. i jumped in surprside. "watch out ROB!" Bryan called. "Memmy!" Madiran screamed again. how did she know? i nickered and whickered comfort Madrian put her hands on my nose. she was so strong for meing 11 months. I nickered to her sfotly. "I took her shirt betweent my teethGoodthing ROb hd her in overalls i carried her to my stall I laid downand settledher in with me. holly Bryan and sean and everyone watched surprised. i licked my baby lovingly. She nderstood. Madiran was so ensightful. "noway!" Bryan said "you didn't say you were married to a horse1" the girl screamed. "I'm not!" Bryan said irritated. Madrian walked arund in the stall looking for hay. she yawned and walked over and cuddled her self into me and fellasleep "get her out!" Bryan said. I snorted softly and looked tenderly and then Sean came in and sat quietly with me Daneil woke up and cried. Bryan tried t hsh him then the girl, I whinnied angrilly but not loudly. she put Daniel ack. Rob brought Daniel intothe stall and held him close. Daniel saw it too, he immdiately seettled down. I nudgedhim gently they all three were there with me,

I was insulted by the way that Bryan was acting- it was like some alter-ego and he was the actor, performing to one side of the audience then another, and it irritated me.
"Take a close look, Bryan. See if you can pick up any tips from the horse on raising children." My tone was scathing, and the scorn was meant for the impostor, and not the equine who had such a connection with the children.
The blonde girl laughed. It was a curious laugh, as if she was laughing at the concept of a horse raising children, or Bryan being demoralized, or someone taking tips from a horse. She seemed a Cruella deVil sort of person.
She flicked her hair, "Come on Bryan, I think the children are all right. Let's go home, I'm tired." She posed with a smouldering seductive look, her gaze locked to his, and I felt sick to the stomach for Mindy.
"Mindy," I said in my mind, "would you forgive me if I slapped him!" I said, with no intention of laying a finger on him, but for the amusment of the concept.
"Rob," Bryan said, with an authoritive tone, "when that horse falls asleep, get my children out of there. And have them washed".
Rob's looked taken aback, and as Bryan turned his back I saw Rob bow ever so slightly, and mumble "Yes, your a$$holiness" and I laughed.
I approached the stall, and Sean was stroking Mindy's mane, "Mommy" Madrian said.
