I tortted around in the paddock with Prince and rainfall, i decided since I wouldn't ever be human again I might as well shape up and behave like a horse. I saw the bushes move on the other side f the paddck. I stappoed and listend, it was something, but I didn't know what, i smelled an animal of some sort, I walked oveer tenatively. I lowered my head and sniffed I stuck my nose in tthe bush, I got pawed in thefac. I jumped back. I sniffed the bush. i sniffed and sniffed. i whickered at thhe bush. i little head poked out of thebush. i whinnied suprised. I wasa kitten. i sniffed it, it was cold and hungry. i urged it to come out it was beginning to snow. and it shouldn't be left alone. it came out of the bush followed by three other little black kittens. I nickered softly. they followed me to the gate of the paddock. "help!" I whinnined I continued to whinny until somebody finally came out. "Oh mindy, what is it?" emily asked. i lowered myhea dand stamped. "oh my goodness," she breathed. I nickered at the kittens. they meowed helplessly. carefully she took off her snow cap and pu each othe tiny kittens in it. "Good girl Mindy," she praised. I nickered. Rainfall trotted over and praised me too. I turned to him and pushed my nose hard at him. he whinnied byy surpsse. I whinnied and took off at a canter, he chased me we played tage for a while then we rolled in the snow. Prince joined into the fun.
fter lunch we were brough in. I was takced up, "somebody has come to look at you," she whispered. I turned and nickered. She patted my neck. "bebad please! i want to keep you forever," she pleaded.
the girl who rode me, didn't put up with my attitude, she took my reins and whipped thenm hard on my neck. i startedto canter she cantered me straight to the wall, "She's a challenge, but I like her," she patted my neck. I saw emily's lip tremble. finally came t a last resort, I reared three times. the Girl didn't fall off! "Oh mother her and Snake would make adorable babies!" she squealed after she'd circled me a few times.. Finally I gave in, she was to advanced.
"How much?' the man turned to emily. "Well they're asked 4500," emily said, "That's cheap!" the girl crowed.
In not ime I was now Jeannie's horse and would leave today and go to Stony Creek farms.
i winnied goodbe to Rainfall and promised I'd come back to him in human form.
The farm was very classy, each stall was heated. The feeder coud be turned around so hores couldn't eat all day, the buckets were heated and automatic. The grooms were required to to wear flannel plaid shirts and jeans however they each had coats over their shits with the farms name embroidered in them. My stall was large and roomy it had winodws in the back, the bottem doors had a nameplate on it with my show name on it. i went into the stall, it had kicking boards on it there was anther door the lead to a large paddock. "this springthis stall will be big enough for yo and foal," the little girl grinned widely. I nickered and sipped my water, she smiled and took off my halter. "joe!' she yelled. A young groom walked over his face was bright red and his lips and hands were chapped. "throw this ugly thing away, I havea nicer one for my gorgous girl,' Jeannie patted me. she also took off my blanket and put a nicer one on. " how about later you meet the other mares,she whispered. "JOE!" she snapped. "clean out this stall, and let's get fresh food in here!" she said. she gave me one last pat and left Joe and I alone. "Be glad you're a horse," he said. picking up a pile of manuere. "How so?" i thought. "You get to have the owners of this place be nice to you," he explained. "if i were a horse I'd teach them a lesson on human manners," he said. I stamped bordly. I didn't want to here this boys sob story, I was human and I was a horse and I hated it. he poured some oats into my corner feeder and put hay into the rack. I ate happily. "you sure are pretty," Joe smiled. I sneezed anndhe left.
When Jeannie came back she was wearing bluejeans paddock boots she looked like i would be dressed she smiled. "Come on mindy, let's go meet your new family," she haltered m eand led me outiside. "That's the stallion barn, there is an Andalusion in there named Sebastian that Daddy wil breed you with, thought I think you and our frisian snake would make adorable babies. that's Sebastian sh pointed at a grey stallion drinking from a trough in the stallion pasture. Snake is inside he and Sebastian don't get along." she explained. i listened intently
she them led me to the brood mare barn, "This is where you'll haveyour foal ths spring, the stalls are wonderful. "Right now there aren't any mares inthere, we don't start breedining until December. And this is the Mare paddocks , you'll go in with my old horse Ruthy, she's very old and friendly," she smile dand opened the gate. ruthy walked over and nuzzled Jeannie. I watched her tenatively after I was unhaltered. "Well looks like she's got a new horse," ruthy said. I didn't say a word. "well what's the matt cat got your tounge?" Ruthy asked puzzled. "Oh no," I whispered shyly. "Well what's your name?" ruthy asked politely. "Mindy,' I said "well, mindy come play with me. she nickered friendly and we went to the other endof the paddock.
After about two hours. I relaxed andbegan to like my new home however I really mised myfriends at Evergreen...

i watced the van leave with a trailor with Mindy in it. Cooper put his arm around me "Come on," he said he too my handand lead me to the stable and up to the apartments. I sat and looked out te window and the suns rays that glittered on the snowy hills. "Cooper, why should i suffer so much?" I asked. Cooper handed me a mug filled with tea. "You shouldn't," he whispered. "Then why do I have to!" " I said blankly. i felt missy's weight settleitself in my lap. "Mindy was going to have to leave sooner or later...you knew it," Cooper smiled. "I knew it but I didn't think it'd be so soon," i said my voice was aout to break into sobs. No, I wouldn't let it.
"Come on your spending this week at my house with my family, i'll help you pack," Cooper smiled.
We went into my bedroom and began to pack clothes into a suitcase.
