I walked with Missy down the aisles of the pet store, looking at all the neat things. "Missy, look at these beds!" i picke dher up and showed her a bed that was actually a mini cnopy bed. She whined...which meant she wated it with all her heart. i laughed. i know what i'm getting you for Christmas," I giggled and walked over to the Exotick birds. i looked at the parakeets, and the cockateils then i saw my tream bird. "A blue Mcaw," I breathed. the mcaw sqauwked, Missy stared at it enthusiastically pawwing the floor. I held out my hand. "Hello!" it said thoughtfully. i smiled brightly. Missy cocked her ehad and whined and hid behind my leg. "Well hello," I answered. "and how are you?" I crooned "give me some tea!" it demanded. i giggled girlishly. "Do you like him?' a voice said. i jumped and turned. "i have always wanted a parrot, I smiled. A man in hislate twenties appoached. Miss began to growl, which s strange since she hardly evered growls. "wEll, he's worth a lot," he said scratching his chin. "I'm sure" I sgreed nervously. "the man stood close t me. "I'm jack," he smiled. "hi,'" i said. missy growled loudly. "Well we better go," I said i walked quickly out of the shop And drove home. i parked my car and unleashed missy. I ran looking for Cooper. I ran right into Jakob. "oh Jakob I'm so sorry," I breathed. "It's quite alright...you seem flustered what's wrong?" He asked. i breathed heavily. "Well i was in the petshop just looing becuase i love looking at the irds and they just happen to have a blue mcaw, and I have always wanted one. well then this man came over. And Missy began to growl, and sshe hardly ever growls and it scared me," I finished out of breath. "Ohh, well i'm sorry," I he smiled. "i was so frightened," I wiped my eyes to keep from crying. I stood up and Missy and I walked around looking for Cooper. I found him checking water buckets. "Hello, my dear!" he embraced me. I clung to him. "What's wrong?" he wiped a tear off my cheek. I told him what happened. "What?" Cooper was in rage. "Cooper, calm down," I said softly. "I will not calm down! Emily, this can't be ignored, here you are a well to do citizen, being made uncomfortable, Em, that shouldn't happen!" he said. "i'm going down there right now. "No Cooper! i knowing you, know you will go and do something stupid, now i don't wantto marry a criminal," I said. Cooper broke into a smile. i smiled back. "Chica, just promise me something," "Anything,' i smiled. "Don't ever go to the pet store again, and if youdo, make sure I'm with you,' Cooper kisse dmy lips lovingly. I closed my eyes and smiled. "I should really go longe Rebel," I smiled. "No, it's too cold,' cooper said firmly. i smiled. He was right though, it was too cold. "Well in that case, I'll be watching Tv, while you go water and feed horses," i smiled, Cooper grinned and lef tthe aprtment. missy and I curled up o the sofa, but i was soon asleep.

"I ran into Emily today," Jakob told me while we were eating dinner.
"Oh," I said, "Where was that?"
"At the pet shop actually, I was heading in to get more cat food and some dog food for Turtle and she ran right into me. She was really flustered. Apparently some guy had been making her uncomfortable talking to her. Missy didn't like him either."
"Missy?" I asked, surprised, "Missy doesn't not like anyone!"
"Well, she didn't like that guy because she started growling, and I think that's what really got Emily worried," Jakob said.
"There are some pretty scary people out there... I'll have to tell Emily if she sees him again to let us know," I said.
Jakob nodded.
