I walked down the aisle with pride, he was trotting anxously, his ears were rpicked he was excited about going outside. I smile dand patted his neck gently.
When I had gotten outside i saw Jaokb jump off Milicent, Pride whinnied proudly, she looked at him dully. "I giess some people don't htink it's that intresting, " i smiled Pride did care he walked jumped around ecited anyway. I let Pride loose in a paddock and then went ofr Clover. I passed Jakob on the way. "Hey Jakob, what's up?" i smiled. "Two horses have been shot out in the feild," he said betweent breaths. "What?" I exclaied in disbelief. he nodded. i wet back outisde and spent about five minutes catching pride. i finally took out the carrot i had been saving for rainfall. I hlatered and led him to his stall, I put up his stall guard intea of shutting him in, that way he could stretch out his neck.
I went upstairs and found Sean coming down the hall, he was holdig Madrian's hand she was sobbing. i came closer and scoped her up. "She hit her head on the table," he explained. "How did she do thaT?" i asked wiping her tears. Misty was playing with us and we were running and she went under the table and bonked it," he said shamefully. "Sean, you know you aren't supposed to do that...no dessert," I said. He nodded. At least he knew it was wrong, and he understood why he was punished.
After Madrian had setted down i went to the bedroom Daniel was still sleeping. i took in a sigh of relief. and flopped on the couch. While Madrianand Sean watched cartoons i thought about what had happened. "Sean." i said. "Yeah?' he said not lookig up. "from now on, when i have to go down to the barn, i wnat you all to sty in the apartment, and when yo're riding APollo, make sure someone is going to ride with you, whete it's me or Ash, or Melenie, Scarelt. i jus odn't want you alone, or running around," I said firmly. "why?" "Well, soemthing really bad has happened, and I just want to keep you kids safe,' I smiled sitting up at the sound of a baby cry.
I fed and changed Daniel, and then led Madrian and Sean out side to the stable i smiled. "Pwide!" Madrian hugged her hores nose. Pride whickered affectioantely. i smiled aand took down the stall guard and shut the stall door. Pride whinnied. "Up?!" Madridan cried. "No, I can't," I said. "Here" someone said ""Oh hi Seth," I smiled feelin my cheeks flush. he smiled and lefted Madrian up. She laughed and pulled Pride nostrils he whinnied a dn blew hot air at her. madrian laughed and did it again, I smiled watching the game. "come on," i laughed. I went down to Rainfalls stall. He was bleeding. "Oh God," I whispered. "Take the kids up te stairs and my aprtment ins unlocked,' I said to seth. "What's wrong?' sSean asked. "Nothing just follow Mr. Johnson," I said he ran after Seth. I opened the door. rainfall whickered lowly. I petted him, it was all over, the blood was red and thiickening. "You know something is wrong...and your stressed. i took up the bood drenched sheet and led Rainfall outside so he could cool off. I walked him around and then led him to a was stall. i rinsed the blood off but it kept coming. quickl I gave him the shot form his emergency box. It stopped pretty quickly. i rinsed the remaining blood off and groomed Rainfall i cut and pulled his mane and tail for the show this weekened, I braided his tail to make sure he didn't harm it and then put his heavy blanket on. He turned and nuzzled me. "i know, but you're going to have to relax. I love you, nothing is gonna happen bad to you," i murmered and kissed his nose. he whickered and I left.
Seth was pling Candyland with Sean when I went backuptstairs. "What was that about?" he asked kindly. "rainfall has this disease, when he gets stressed out or is cooped up to long he sweat blood, it's pretty rare.'" "freaky," Seth said putting his game piece down. "Okay Sean get your coat, Help Madrian with hers," I instructed. "Where are you going?' Seth asked helping me get Daniels coat on. "I promised Sean we could go see Daddy today...just Sean though," I said. "Why?" "He needs a father, and Bryan said that he'd behappy to hang out with Sean," I said. Seth rolle dhis eyes. "That's dumb," he muttered. "Okay!" Sean grabbed his back pack filled with toys and ran out the door. "You can come if you want" i said. "seriously?" i nodded. "okay," he smiled and picked up Madrian. i watche dhim carefully. Madrian liked Seth...she like dhim a lot so did Sean.
I walked up the steps of Bryan's house and ran gthe door bell, Bryan opened. he smiled softly at me. "Come in,' he said. '"daddyI brought all my favorite toys from Santa!" Sean grinned. he lifted up the pack just to show. Bryan took it. "Awesome pal," he ruffled his hair. "nana's in te kitchwith cookies," Bryan smiled. Sean never turned cookiesdown and ran t the kitchen. "WEll, you look well," I said. Bryan laughed. "Yeah, you look nice," he smiled that knowing smile. The smile i ha dbeen in love with. "He misss you, he didn't want to move,' I said sfotly. "i'm sorry," "You should be," I said and turne daround. 'i'll pick him up tomorrow?" I asked. he nodded. i smiled and walked back to the car. Seth was waiting for me. "So what should we do now?" He asked. "i guess head home,"" i back out and drove back to Eg.
"Sean was happy to see Bryan," i said softly. "Yeah, well it's his dad," Seth said. i shrugged, "That's true, he's not mine," I said. "What?" Seth laughed. "Not mine biologically. that's somebody elses son, and bryans," I said. "mindy you allowed that?" he asked. "WE treated t as if they were divorced but when Bry found out they were pretty careless we got custody," I said. "oh,"
When I arrived home Seth helped me carry both sleeping babies up and into their cribs. "Thank you," I whispered. He smiled andkissed my lips again the way he had the night before. "Sure," he smiled and hugged me. i fell into that hug, knowing I was safe and protected. "Bye," he released me. "Bye,' I waved and watche dhim go. Misty whined. "YEah he's an alright guy," I smiled down at her. She sniffed and went to ther pillow. I turned on the news but dozed off.
