When i walked inside my new home, for the first time, i had actually heard nothing. I smiled. the newest nanny was middle aged, had five kids of her own, and they were all grown up enough, that now she needed a hobby. He name was joyce and she was very sweet. I walked into the living oom, daniel was sleeping in his swing, Madrian was in her playpen, quietly playing wth her toys, and Sean was watching Tv. "Hey guys," I said softly. Sean turned around, joyce stood up from the couch and walked over. "mom, you won't believe what Joyce made us after lunch!" Sean said wrapping his arms around me. I bent over and lifted him up. "What?" i asked. "Bananna Splits!" he said. I laughed. "that sounds yummy," I smiled. "Well it looks like you kept things under control," I smiled. "Oh they were darlings, but i think Daniel may have a cold," she smiled. "he was coming down with one the other day," i nodded. "Well, i guess I'll see you later," she smiled. she picked up herpurse, i walked with her to the door. "Thanks so much," I smiled. "My pleasure, you children are angels," she smild. "Thanks," I said she smiled and walked ot to her car. I put Sean down. "Can we go for a walk?' he begged. "No, Madrian and Daniel are sleeping," I smiled. "oh yeah I forgot,' he shrugged. "look the snow is falling, go play in it," i smiled "no, I'm sleepy," he yawned. "okay," i smiled I watched him walk into his room and shut the door. I sighed and went into the kitchen, I flipped through cook books and decided n Chicken parmesean for dinner. I collected the ingrediants and began to make dinner.
Later the doorbell rang, I opened it. "Hey gorgous," Seth smiled. ilet him in. "So how was the new nanny?" he asked. "oh my gosh, for the first time in ages I walked inside to absoulutely nothing, it was a dream," i sighed. he laughed. "what smells so good" he asked taking my hands. "chicken permesean. i'll be right back," I got up form the couh and walked down the hall, i quietly opened Sean's bedroom door. "Sean, you've gotta wake up, dinner is about finished," I whispered. Sean rolled over and moaned a little. i shook him slightly. "Bud you need dinner or we can't have cookies later," I said softly. Sean opened his eyes. "Cookies?" he yawned. "Yeah, i bought some today, pre made choclate chips, we get htem fresh from the oven,' I smiled. He sat up, "okay," he said. he walked out of his room, and squealed. "Mr. johnson!" I watched Sean fing his arms around Seth. "Mom you didn't say Mr. Johnson was here," Sean beamed. Seth smiled widely. I could tell he was happy to make Sean so happy. "come on, let have supper," I smiled. right i was was preparing plates, two baby cries sounded. I sighed, "Seth can you finish this," "Sure," he patted my back.
I put madrian in her highchiar and cut noodle up for her, "Ummy" she crooned. i pthen prepared a bottle for daniel and fed him and mysself at the same time. i looked down at Danny. he was beginning to geta few wisps of hair, and they were brown like mine. "Hey sweet boy," I smiled. he stared at me as he drank. I laghed. "you're so perfect,' I whispered. "all my babies are perfect," i said quietly. when Danny hand finished eating, I burpd him and the set him in his bouceer, while i fnished eating.
"Mm Seany look at these!" Seth said as he carefully removed a baking sheet filled with cookies from the oven. "Delicious," he said. his eye were wide. "Make sure you llet them cool," I said. "Man! Mom that takes forever," Sean complained. "woud yo rather havea burnt tounge or a cookie that you can enjoy that is nice and warm?" Seth asked. " both!" Sean said licking his lips. i laughed. i looked at Madrian she'd fallen asleep. I went toher crib and laid her down. I stared at her, She was such a beautful baby girl, "Nighty night,' I sighed and left. Seth and Sean were eating cookies already, I grabbed two, "theses are wonderful," i said. Sean and seth nodded. At eight Seth helped me tuck Sean in for bed, "You know what i hope?" sean asked softly. "what?" Seth asked. "i hope someday, we can all be like this forever," Sean smiled and turned over. i looked at Seth, tears choked me. He knew what I was thinking.
We both went into the living room, i sat nex t to him. "Mindy, after this whole custody thing is over, maybe we will be able to make Sean's wish come true" Seth said. "Maybe," I nodded.
Seth wrapped me in his embrace and kissed my lips, softly i felt so warm and fuzzy, i didn't let go, it felt wonderful to be loved again. "Seth, don't go,' I whispered. "i'm not going anywahere," he murmered. i kissed him more, and then he had to leave. "I'll see you later," he promised. I nodded, "okay," i said finally. he looked at me gently his black eyes were dncing, "I love you," he said. i nodded agian and watched him leave.
