Well the social worker arrived promptly at 7, just has she had promised the night before. Unfortuantely Sean had answered the door. "Mom's changing a diaper! you can come in," he smiled. I bit my lip, Sean had been to polite, she was a stranger and he knew better to oen the door without permission. i adjused Madrian in my arms. "Hi, you must be. "Mrs. Carlton, the social worker?' i smiled. "And you must be mindy," she smirked. she had a clip bard and a pen at ready clutched in her hand. "Well, the nanny should be here soon," i said puttin gMAdrian downand rushing to get Daniel, they had all blown off a routine Sean woke up second Madrian first and Daniel last. most of the time it was reverse. "Excuse me," I smiled and walked into Daniels room he was sobbing. I wuickly chnge dhis diaper which helped his som eand then dressed him and prepared a bottle which helped a lot. "Ms. Hollander, why are those children playing with that mutt?" she spat. "Because Misty keeps them entertained," joyce said politely behind Ms. Carlton. "i'm joyce the childen's nanny," she smiled. "Mindy you had better run along," she smiled. i thaned her and left pryaing I was doing well so far.
when I came home for lunch ean was watching TV and Madrian was sitting in her playpen, just sititng. "Where's Danny?" i asked Sean "Ms. Carlton tooked him to some place," he said hoarsely. "What? and why aren't you at school i told Joyce at 11:30 you needed to be at school," I said. "Ms Carlton said I was too young, and made Joyce leave." Sean looked up at me hi eyes were red. "Sean is she coming back?' I asked. He nodded. "She said you ran out of diapers, for Daniel," I heard a car park in the drive way. Misty baked angrily. I said Daniel in the arms of that woman. "You want to keep your kids," i said over and ovver. "I'm sorry you ran out of diapers," she handed me Daniel disgustedly. I gulped. "And you just left Sean and madiran alone here?" i i gagged. "Ms. Hollander, you were right across the yard," she said. "Ms. Carlton I havea pyscho ex-husband anything could have happened," I said rocking daniel I made my self a sanwhich and fed Daniel his bottle at the same time. "I'll be back at 6, behave," i kissed Sean and left with my duffel bag. i heard Misty whining i sighed.
when I arrived home with seth the place was dark and boring. "are you sure it'll be okay for me to be here?" he aske dplacing a hand on my back. I nodded and walked in. Sean was sleeping on the couch the TV still on. I switche don a light. "What's going on?" I called. MAdrian was sobbing in her playpen. "This has to be somet ype of test," I said angrily. I let Misty out and Seth carried Sean to his bed. "Madrian sobbed as I change dher diaper. "Ms. Carlton" I yelled. "Yes dear. "Why is my child soaking in her dirty diaper?' I said. "WellI havea phobia of them," she smiled. "Ms. Carlton, Madiran get diaper rashes easily and you kicked my best nanny out! She can change diapers! the whole point f your visit was to observe myhomelife. I admit i'm no tear all day and night, but I'm a human and I need to have privilages and the chool pays for my bills and for my nanny! Ms. Carlton, you are a horrible person!" i boomed. i slammed the bathroom room door.
"It's okay Madrian I soothed gently ptting her little shivering body with a baby towl. i wrappe dher up and carrie dher into her rom, I diapered her and put some baby lotion and diaper medcine on her bottem and powdered her cshe kicked hapily. "Oh she likes being pweety," I crooned she laughed. I tckle dher and buttoned up her footie jamas and brushed her few wisps of blonde hair. i siled and put her down I went into Daniels room And gasped he was wake holding very still he had red akks on his face. "SETH!" I screame dhe ran in. "he swallowwed. "What happened," I shuddered i picke dup my new baby and carrie dhim into theliving room. "What are you?" Seth hissed. "What's are you talking about?" she said looking up from her clip board. "Why did you hurt my child?" i quavered on the verge of tears. i ran int othe den ancd called the police. "We're on our way," they ssured me. "Stya right here," SEth said he was so angry. i sponge bathed Daniel and powdered him he was so scared, this could scar him for life I thought, i heard the door open and knew the cops had come. i heard that dreadful woman pleading and swearng she didn't do anything tha ti was just a bad mother. "Yeah well it's too bad that you havea list of things to do, from a Mr. Bryan young?" the offcier looked a me. "That'd be my ex-finace," I said quietly. "Father of the children,' i added. The officer nodded and walke dout of the house. I sighed and wen itnotDaniels room and dressed hi in his jammies as well. I let Madrian walk aroudn and we just made tuna sandwhiches for dinner.
After the babies were sleeping. I just sat on the couch and stared. "What possesed me, to doo any of this, what posses me to have kids" i I said in a dry whisper. Seth put his arms around me i felt his love. "Mindy you were inlove, it's okay," he soothed. "I wasn't inlove, i was never inlove. Iwas stupid jsut plain dumb," I said. "No mindy!
