[I don't know the exact amounts of time... like when you can determine the gender of a baby, but anyway... so just pretend that I know what I'm talking about. Lol.]
I guess by now I was a little over 5 and a half months pregnant, and Cola was nearly 7 months.
Nick drove us and both of our large bellies to a hospital about an hour away, and we had our babies checked out.
The Doctor's name was Dr. Farrell, and she was very thorough and gentle.
Dr. Farrell's inspection [using lots of complicated looking equipment >_<] of Cola resulted in the conclusion that she was having a girl, who was a little small, but healthy all the same.
I put my arm around my little sister as tears splashed onto her cheeks, "A girl!" She mumbled, clasping her stomach. "Now you'll be able to start choosing names." I said softly, as she wiped away her tears with the back of her hand.
"And Holly," Dr. Farrell said, "you're baby is very healthy, and good sized for how far along you are. Now, do you want to know if it's a boy or a girl?"
I looked at Nick, and squeezed his hand. I had already told him that it was up to him, because all I wanted was a healthy baby. "Yes." He said, and I smiled at him and squeezed his hand once more.
"You're having a girl too." She said, and I stood up and kissed Nick as he threw his arms around my shoulders.
"Now," Dr. Farrell said, bringing us back down to earth. "Holly, and Nicola. Are you both eating well?" She questioned, taking a pen from her desk and ticking some boxes on a yellow form.
"Hol eats like there's no tomorrow." Cola said, and I was to elated to berate her about it, even though I couldn't deny that fact.
"Well, that's good, but don't go getting yourself indigestion. If you're going to eat a lot, make sure you watch what you eat, eat slowly, and never eat until you are bloated."
"Mmm hmm. Ok." I said, agreeing. I was still grinning from ear to ear.
Eventually we got back to Evergreen, and I went into the Storm Shelter to check on Jedda, and Macca and Sakura.
"Hey guys." I said, stroking them. "Guess what, my baby is a girl!" I leaned against Jedda's warm neck.
