Isaid goodbye tothe kids and went back ou tto he car where Seth waited for me. We finally were going to Maine today, and I was so excited. He smiled at me. "Are yousure they'll be okay?" I asked wrrying. "Mindy you were a horse for a month and hhald and they were fine," he laughed "I know, but still, I mean what if My dad has another heart attack and my mom needs someone to watch the kids?" I asked. "Rob will be there," he smiled glancing at me as we merged ontot he free way.
the plane trip was quiet and very somfortable Seth and I actually got to know eachother really well. "So, do you have aytother siblings...you know besides Rob and the twins?' he asked. Oh my gosh, i thought, he has no idea. iI rolled the idea around in my head my head, i could feel them tears preparing to slide down my cheeks, my throat began to ache from having to hold back. "Mindy? Are you okay?" he asked touching my hand. "well, I did have only one sister, it was just me and her it was before i knew Rob and befre my mom had the twins before anything with boyfriends.' I began. "huh?' he raised his eyebrws. "well, Sharon, she died a year ago, from an epilepsy attack, she had it really bad and one night she got an attack so bad she died efore the paramedics even were called," I said softly tears rolled fdown I was powerless, "Oh mindy I'm so sorry," he wiped my cheeks. i sniffed. "it' all right you couldn't have known. and it just hurts to talk about,' I said wiing my my eyes with a tissue. he nodded still obviousy concerned. "i'm fine...I swear," I laughed.
after we had gotten the rental car Seth drove to the ski resort, "Wow, it's so beautful" I sighed. "Sure is," he agreed. "I read a trilogy about Maine when I was younger,' I said. "It was about a girl who knows theses two people are stealing away young inncent girls minds and pasting them in bedrooms, it's and awesome trilogy way out there sort of mystery," I said. "Sounds like it," Seth chuckled. He always smiled when he was with me, I never knew if he was laughing at me, or not, and in someways it was comforting.
He parked the car and I stepped out in to the rocky parking lt. He took the suitcases and my duffel bag out of the trun, I carrie dmy duffel bag and followed him to the main lodge. "I looked around expecting to see reporters or some familar faces, however it was quite a pleasent facilty and the staff was very polite.
The hotel room had two beds. "Two beds?" I asked. "Incase you felt uncomfortable sleeping in the same bed," he said with a kind pat on the back. I smiled and sat down on the bed and bounced on it. "Wow, theses beds are the first hotel beds that aren't toally uncomfortable," i said. "Really?" he laughed sitting next to me we bucned onthe bed like kids it was fun. I stood up and dusted my pants off then went dug around in my duffel bag until I found my picture of the kids, i placed it by a bed. Seth turned it face down. "Wh did you-' my sentence was cut off. "No kids this weekend Mindy, just us, just relaxing," he said. "But-'" I began. "Mindy stop worrying they're fine,'" he kisse dmy lips. i fell into a bed and we laid there just kissing for a long time. "ineed tocall Sean," Is ad. "What?' Seth looked hurt. "You heard me promise that I would call him after we arrived," I said with a peicing look he sighed and picke dup one of the htel brochures to find a place to eat.
"how was sean and every other member of your family?" Seth said irritated. "Seth, relax" i said opening the suit case. "Fine," he smiled. I rolled my eyes how come he was so different now? i wondered. "Do they have stables here?" I asked. Seth brightened. "Yeah do you wanna go look at their horses lateR?' he asked. '"Maybe,' I said. i wondered to myself if i could hae the same power that I did at home with horses at home, here in uncharted terrtitory for my mind.
Seth and I went to dinner and di end up going to the barn. The horses were active and whinning. Each horse had something to say and I was on mind overload. "Stop!" I shrilled relizing what I had just done. Seth lid a had on my hsoulder. "Mindy what is going on?" his eyes were wide. 'well, Banjo is complaing his back is sore because a really big perosn took him for a ride and Valiant is whining that he's tired-" "mindy what is wrong?' Seth laid his hands on my hips I hugged him, "I can speak to horses," I whispered inhis ears. "you can?' hea sked. i nodded. "How long?" "Monday," I said. "let's go," we went back tot he hotel. We talked about it and decided we shouldn't tell anyone. And ten we got ready for bed, I slipped into bed nex to seth and wrapped my arms around his waist he turned over and smiled. "You're okay with this?" he asked. i nodded with a smile. "thanks for everything," I smiled. "Well, i love you and you're going to be my wife and I want the best for you," he smiled. i kissed his lips. And we just laid nex to eachother and chatted nothing happened and then we went to sleep. i was thankful because if Bryan was where Seth would be right now Bryan woud have wanted to do thing other than talk, and I always wanted to talk to him the way I do with Seth and Bryannever really cared. I smiled my self nad fell asleep.
