Alone I was, alone with three dogs. I sighed. What had happened to my busy life? The vacation made it all crash. Then the whole baby thing, and now the whole Andrea deal. I was confused. Confused and alone, with no one to talk to. Sure, I could talk to the dogs, but they couldn't help me and hint me towards what to do. Then it clicked. 'Why not call Scarlet, she was always there.' Smacking my head I wondered why the thought hadn't crossed my mind instantly. The boys were getting chinese and a movie, after they went to the bar for a while, so I knew it'd be at least a hour and half before they returned. Picking up the phone, I hoped Scarlet didn't mind. A few rings then Jakob answered. "Hey Jakob, Scarlet there?" I asked, almost giddy with nervousness. "Oh, so ya don't want to talk to me?" He laughed. "Yes, but is she there?" I said. He must of heard the tone of my voice because the next sound I heard was Scarlet's voice. "Hey Nik. What's up?" She said. "Hey, I need to talk. Is it okay if I come over, or perhaps you come here? Whatever, I just need to sort some problems and you're the only one that came to mind." My words came fast and slightly in a jumble. There was a short pause before...." "

"Sure, Nikki. Maybe I'll go over there, I think Jakob and Damhnatt are going to do something - it'd be better to have it quiet," I replied.
"Yeah," Nikki agreed. We said goodbye and hung up. I told Jakob what was going and left.
I knocked on Nikki's door and she opened it almost instantaneously.
"Hey," I said. "So, what's up?"
"Too much," Nikki replied, sighing heavily. She opened the door all the way and let me in. I helped her make tea and we went and sat down on the couch.
"So," I began, "Talk."
Nikki laughed. "Alright!"

"Where to begin" I muttered and heaved another sigh. Sitting deeper into the comfort of the couch, I pondered on where I really should start. "Well, starters, my main concern is...." I paused, sipping a bit of my tea. "Well, remember what I told you that night at dinner? About the baby?" Scarlet nodded, sipping her tea as she listened intently. "Well, I still haven't told Adam, and my appointment is tomorrow. The doctors need to know my descion. If I'm going to abort again or actually have this child." I said. "I really want to have the child for Adam, but I, myself am not ready. I don't know what to do!" I exclaimed. "I even worry to tell Adam." I said quietly. "Especially after the first abortion....."

I thought for a moment. "Well, as much as you might dread it, you have to tell Adam. Only you and he can really decide - and, of course, you get the last word. Tell him exactly how you feel - that you're not sure if you're ready. I know you'll be an amazing mother when you are really ready, but having a child and not really truely wanting one is no good."
Nikki nodded. "There are two options of course - abortion or adoption..."
Nikki sighed. "Yeah."
"I don't know exactly where you stand there, but I really think you need to talk to Adam." I paused. "You said there were a bunch of things?"
I sipped my tea and waited for Nikki's response.

"Yeah." I sighed. "Then there's this Andrea thing. I'm truely not sure if I should go to the funeral or not..." I trailed, staring into my cup as if it were to magicly turn everything perfect like they used to be. "What would you do?" I asked. "What should I do?"

**AAAHHHH...that was an awful post....I lost my whole thought train...lol...shhhh...I'm only supposed to be doing my homework right now but oh well. Hee. BTW, I don't know if you know or not, but hte new layout has been done for over a week...i forgot to tell you because I wanted to wait for you to come online so you could inspect it first...*lol..i already changed my bookmark and use the new layout**

"Well," I said slowly, "I would go to her funeral out of respect for her. We all hate her, but no one deserves to die so early, and so tragically."
Nikki thought about that for a moment. I continued, "And she was a good person, she just couldn't show us that side of her." I stopped and laughed at myself, I was being so rational! it really surprised me.
"I'll go with you, if you want," I told her.
She replied, "..."

"Oh would you!" I exclaimed. I surely didn't want to go alone. Well, I would have Adam, but I needed one of my girls. "Of course I would." Scarlet smiled kindly. Getting up and hugging her I told her, "You know, you really are the best!" Sitting down again, I heard the door open. In came Adam and Charles with some great smelling Chinese food. "Thanks for coming Scarlet!" I sighed, giving her another hug. "No problem Nik." She smiled and got up. "You can stay for a bit of chinese if you want...We have extra veggies and rice since you don't eat meat..." Looking to Scarlet, she answered..." "

"Awesome!" I replied, "I love rice!"
Nikki laughed.
"Good," Charles said, "We have lots."
We sat down at the table and helped ourselves to the food. Charles and Adam began to relay the movie they had seen to us.
After supper, I thanked Nikki and Adam for having me. Charles and Adam cleaned up and Nikki walked me to the door.
"Thanks again, " she said.
"No problem," I replied. "Just remember to tell Adam. You two are the best ones to decide about what's going to happen with the baby."
Nikki nodded. I hugged her.
"Goodnight," I said, turning to leave.
"'Night," she replied.
