I walked into the stables with Elmer, jojo was whinning his head hanging over the stall guard. "hey handsome!" I smiled feeding him a sugar cube, he lipped it and ate it and then searched for more. "sorry, this was actually for just me," I kissed his forehead and grabbed his halter. i haltered him and unclipped the stall guard. I walked him to a pair of crossties and then began grooming. "So anyway Jojo, Trina is so dead, Jason actually talked to her today at lunch, she was super scared," I laughed remembering how many times she came up and apologized to me after lunch today.
I yeilded into the center and then picked up a canter, then i trotted a figure eight and then stopped and saluted. I smiled as the music in my walkman finished. "Good boy," I praised and got off. Jojo pushed me hard in the back. It urned and frowned. "Stop that," I said. he tossed his head and egan to prance. "jojo, cut it out," I yanked on the reins he whinnied. elmer came over barking madly. Jojo looked down at e and he obediantly. "Thanks Elmer," I smiled and untacked Jojo then turne dhim out in an empty paddock. i walked down to Roses stall. "Hey pretty girl," i soothed Elmer watched her, She didn't like Elmer very much but I don't think Elmer would ever hurt her so I shrugged it off. rose pranced on the line, i let her get it all out. "Better with me off," I laughed. Elmer watched boredly. "Whoa," i said Rose slowed her self fro a canter to a walk. "Halt," I yanked the chain. She reluntantly stopped. i lead her back tothe cross ties and then tacked her up. She wanted to turn and nip at me so badly but elmer was there and she was scared. I laughed and tickled her nose. she whinnied. Elmer growled. "Elmer!" i bent over and scratched behind his floppy ears. he sat up and pawed at my arm happy that I was actually getting a cance to play with him. i laughed and then grabbed Roses bridle. I bridled her and then went into the arena. I mounted up. "Good girl," i said raising both of my stirrups, after that we began to work.
"Let's work on backing," i said bringhier in the center. "Backing is simple, i pulled the reins gently and sqeeze. Then I ight say back, and you walk bawards until the pressure is let off your belly," I said. I knew Rose was listening when I did everything she tossed her head and crow hopped. "Quit!" i snapped. Elmer stood up watched us. "Back," I said trying again. Rose tok one step backwads. "Good. Back," i said again. she tok one more step. I let go. se stopped. "Okay we're finished," I said. She sniffed my pocketts. "Sorry girl, mom doesn't like to waste food on you guys. Too many people live in my family," I laughed and lead her to her stall, I untacked her and then mucked her stall, then I was done.
Elmer helped me clean up then I called jason. "Sam, I'm sorry but I can't," he said. "Why?" I asked. "Well I have a job interview," he said. "Stop lieing, and come pick me up," I sighed. "Call Josh, karen and the twins aren't home yet," jsaon said. "Jason shut up and come pick me up!" I kicked gently at a peice of hay on the ground. "Sammy i'm dead serious," he said and hung up on me. I sighed and went to the main hall. "Elmer i need a car," I said iopening the door. he growled ageeing. I laughed and went over to the phone, I called my mom she was on her way home anyway, she promise o be here in like an hours. "Samantha it's too cold o walk home so just stay inside," she said. "I will," I groaned. I hng the phone up and played with Elmer.
