Open House (Important!)

Jakob and I decided to get down to business for the open house. There was a lot to be planned. We had to make signs to advertise, figure out an itinerary, figure out meals, transportation. As far as horses went, we were fine. The ponies were arriving tomorrow - there were 12 of them. We'd also purchased 15 new horses (except only 14 were rideable because Sammy's horse Marbles was on equestrian maternity leave).
The problem now was setting a date and getting volunteers from Evergreen to cook, offer their time as leaders and instructors and help with advertising. I had hoped everyone would be interested in instructing for free... I know a lot of young riders would be thrilled to have a free instruction from some of our famous riders =)
I just didn't know how this could all be done without too much media intervention. Evergreen was still supposed to remain pretty private, we just wanted a little more business.
Evergreen had become so private since my great great grandmother had died and I was beginning to wish it hadn't. Everyone should be able to enjoy the freedom of riding horses, and the fresh air out here. Maybe then big companies wouldn't be after us to sell our land for their industrial developements!
Jakob and I picked a couple weeks that might work, and made lists of the jobs, then we wrote letters to everyong at EG.

Hey everyone! We finally picked a couple dates we think might work for our open house and we need to guys to approve them! These are the times: either April 14 - 20, May 5 - 12, 13 - 19.
Which ever works best, just let me know!
Also, we need volunteers to lead trail rides. The trail rides should be an hour long, and we'll have half-hour ones for less experienced, or less enthusiastic riders. We could even do some half-hour horse care, tack, or riding classes depending on interest. we also need volunteers to make food! We'll need sandwiches, popsicles, hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and assorted drinks!
We also need people to put flyers out at some places in town.
If you can sign for for anything at all that would be fabulous! Jakob and I will definitely help with everything, or anything that others can't do. Your guys' help would be appreciated!
Thanks a million!
Let me know soon!
