I trotted Fancy on the lead. "You're the first human I have met that can actually speak to horses," she said. "I'll be the last too,'" she bobbed her head. "Canter,' I clucked she picked it up and then halted. "What is it?" I murmered. "My hoof, I stepped on a rock," she picked up her back leg. I walked over and looked. I took a stick and dug the rock out. "Ahhh thanks" she sighed. "Soo did you decide on what you're going to call me?" she whickered. "Uh well I was hoping you had a name in mind," "Oh well I don't my old mum used to call me baby, i'm not a baby as you can see. That man called me horse. What are you ggoing to call me. I stopped her and switched the chec to go the other way. "Fancy," I said. Whe pricked her ears. "Oh I like that." she nickered. "I'm glad," I smiled and stopped her. I led her up to the barn and gave her a bath and then cut andpulled her black mane and then breaided her tailand put it in a tail bag. "Would you mind giving me a hunt ct. I get hot in the summer," she lipped at my pony tail. "Oh wel I dn't body clip well. But my husband does,' I said surprsied. "Well I would like it very much, if it's not a problem," she blinked her eyes. "Of course not, I understand." I said putting a fly balnket on her and on her face. I lead her to a paddock with plenty of shade Rainfall was in the same one he whinnied out. "another mare" he griped. "Oh Rainfall," I laughed. "Is that Midnight Rainfall?" she asked. "Uh huh." "Good Gracious you're mindy hollander!" she gasped. "Uh yeah, you didn't know that?" "No." she nudged me. Rainfall cantered over nping Fancy. she pinned her ears back and bit back only hearder. "Ow!" Rainfall snorted. "Stop," I scoled they pricked their ears. "Behave I have errands to run, Sean is getting his cast off today." I said. Rainfall flipped his lip up. "that brat needs a full body cast,' he stampedhis hoof. "Rainfall settle down, he's just lost his confidence," I soothed. I locked the gate and ran to the tack room, I put my things away and then ran home.
Sean was waiting Carla was feeding the babies. "Come on kiddo," I smiled he followed me tothe car. "Will it hurt?"
After Sean got his cast off we ent to Sheridans and had pizza and ice cream.
"Are you ever going to ride again Sean?" "no, i like baseball mom. Horse back riding is girly," he said. I pursed my ;ips. "Dad rides horses," "Only with you nowadays," he said. I paid the waitress and smiled at sean. "I think Apollo misses you, he kicks and bites me and dad," "Well you have to..." Sean stopped. "Have to what?" "Feed him a treat first,' Sean said fast. but i knew what he'd said. "sean, he loves you. He tells me so," I said. "mom I don't like horses anymore so leave me alone!" he sad. i sighed. "You ready?" "Yeah," he muttered.
when we got home sean went outside and played catch with Misty who was an excellent fetcher, and I helped Carla with Daniel who was getting a tooth, and it made him very hard to live with.
When Bryan got home he paid Carla and she left, I handed him Madrian and went upstairs to Daniel, he was still sleeping thank goodness. I crept quietly out of the room and went back downstairs."What's for dinner?" Bryan asked "i was thinking a couple of TV dinners" I said hotly. "What's wrong?" "Why cna't you ever make dinneR?" I asked. "I help." "When," "After dinner I clean dishes. I gave him a sour look. "Fine i'll help," he muttered. "good because i'm not, I've been running around all day and i'm tired and just want to laydown because my head is pounding." I began to cry. Bryan smiled kindly. "I'm sorry' he said giving me a hug. "Sorry doesn't make it better" I said. He nodded and kissed my cheek. "Go lie down, I'll make supper," he whispered. I nodded and thanked him.
