I walked down the stairs and into the living room and found my bat, I grabbed it and went back up the stairs. I put it in my equipment bag and then found my brand new nikie cleets witht he pink checks. "You guys are too cool.
io smiled smellin htm. Brand new leather, i put them on and then smiled. The phone rang. "Hello?" "Hey sammy it's Dusty." "hi," I siat down the ed and scratched Cinderella she nibbled my fingrs. i laughed a little as i listened to his idea. "Sure you can pick me up tot og tothe ball fiel I needto break my new cleets in anyway," I said hanging up.
Twnety minute later I was out on the ball field playing against a whole buch of base bal players. "Come on sammy!" micke yelled. i laughed at my yougerbrother. "gimme a fast ball" i yelled at Simon on the mound. H enodded and thre w my a sinker. I wammed it into the aair nd ran to first.
We plaeyd for like three hours. My team won and so it was wroth smeeling like I just had come home from the garbage dump. Dusty laughed at me. "You've got a big spot of dirt right here," he pointed above my eye brow. I wiped my face. "it's gone," he siad. I shrugged. "Good practice," I said.
After the game and stuff i went and saw jojo and marbles and George. jason came up. "idn't your coach say no playing until the big tournament?" he said. I gave him a hug. "kiss this," I patted my bottom. he gave me a weary look an laughed. rolled my eyes. S"O whe you guys coming over?" "tomorrow afternoon," he said. "and have you found a stable?" "YEah it's a racing stable called Fo zwood Park. Dont tell Ashley though, it's a surprise" He winked. I nodded. She still probably thought they were keeping them at a pasture until later when they could afford something nicer.
I claened my clothes off and polished my leets and thre them in my bag and a couple more things I shined my bat and polished my glove, wiped my bat helmut which was a a nice black with punk trim sinc we were the Lady Pirates.
Later joradan Kensing came over with other girls from our team (mickey came to practice stoned so she's been benched for real). We all put mardi gras beads on our bats and decorated our shirts that we by the ordersof our coach Ma cloud had to wear the first day. I s=miled at mine. and the paitned Cinderella's paw and put it on my sleeves. "We are going to kick butt!"i yelled we all scrreamed with excitement.
