I trotted around the arena on Fancy, just bareback. "I'm so tired" I moaned. She snorted. "YOu're tired? Try having someone on your back!" she said. "I have remember" i smiled thoughtfully.
After riding i brushed her out and slipped her blanket on her and then put her in her stall and mucked. "What ya doin?" Bryan asked suddenly. I jumped. he laughed. "Sorry, didn't mean to scare you,' he smiled. I laughed putting the fork down. "you didn't," I siad he wrapped his arms around me and we gently kissed eachother gently and then i took my pitchfork up and mucked again. "You aren't done yet?" Bryan laughed. "no," I sighed. "Maybe another hour," I said. "Okay,' he nodded. I smiled. "well I brought the horses in and the kids are in the truck," I nodded. "love you," He smiled. "Me too!" I said kissing him. "See you round," he winked and headed out of the barn.
Scarlet came down and smiled. "We'll be at the wedding, Ms. Hollander" she laughed. i looked up and smiled. "good!" i laughed. she hugged me, "I'm so happy you're finally settling down" she sighed. I nodded an agreement. "I am so glad that you and Jakob are finally starting family" I smeiled. With that her smile faded and she paled. "I doubt myself" "Oh Cee, you'll be awesome mother" I smiled. "what if i don't have time for the horses though!" "You find it, trust me"I smiled. "I forget you do it all the time" she said flushing. I shrugged. "I have no regrets, without the kids my life would be so dull"I said. She nodded. "So how are you holding up with the loss of Rainfall?" she asked suddenly. I swallowed and the knot in my stomach caught. "to be honest i'm not. I just have to take it a day at a time"I said softly. She nodded. "I know," "no, you don't, you're horse is a live" i said. Scarlet looked hurt. "Oh, i'm sorry, I just, I just hate them for it, i hope they rot in prison," I said. She nodded smiling. "Don't worry about it, I hope they do, especilally for Sammy's sake" she smiled "Oh yeah, I forgot about that, is she hanging in there," Scarlet nodded.
After chatting with Scarlet, I put my junk up and locked the tack room. And went home.
