It was a sad, and long haul back to California. No one said a word, and veen the horses seemed to be morbid. We pulled into the boarding stables and quickly unloading the mongrols. They all seemed content, and I dont think they cared whre they lived. Numby Jr. was the only one who seemed mildly awake, and entertained. He nickered when I walked away, and snorted his disgust when I didnt turn around. I really had no strength or patience to spoil him at the moment. "Well, welcome back yall." Colt said walking out of his Irish Draught horse's stall. Jason grumled a hello. "Hiya Colt." i replied. Chrissy waved. "well nice to see you guys back." He said sarcastically, being aware of our moods. "Wow. Congrats." Colt said out of nowhere. Jason and I exchanged glances. "The ring. Yall got engaged I see. Its a wonderful ring. Must have cost you a lot Jason." Colt said almost mockingly. I could see the rage building in jason's eyes. I grabbed Jason's hand, and turned him around. "we have to go Colt. Nice seeing you." i siad quickly and walked off, pulling Jason along. "I hate him. He doesnt think Im good enough for you Ash. He acted like he expected me to get you a ring from the cracker jack box." jason exploded when we got home. "Jason, dont worry about it!! I think your pefect, Chrissy thinks your perfect, Colt isnt coming to the wedding, so who cares." I replied kissing him. "I want to move back to Evergreen." Jason blurted out. "But what about college?" "Take a break maybe. I can find somewhere down there to go." He reasoned "But Jason hunny, this is your dream. Dont give it up." "This WAS my dream Ash. None of this is right. I miss my family, I miss Sammy, that filly...I miss her. You should at least understand the horse part Ash. We all would be happier at Evergreen." I stared at him and looked into his eyes. He was deeply hurt. I could tell he really wanted this move, and how much beter things would be. i wasnt exactly mad about moveing back to Evergreen either! "I'll call Scarlet in the morining about our apartment."
