I trotted Magic on the longe line, with a small jump in the middle of his way. He took it like he'd been jumping three feet and 12 inches was nothing. Unfortuneately 12 inches was all he'd ever done. i brought him down to a walk and walked him back to the stable. I groomed him and blanketed him. "You're such a good boy" I smiled petting his sleek neck. "Hopefully this baby will like you as much as i do" I kissed his forehead and put his hackles on. he gave me a look that said "You are so cruel to me" "I am not a mean person, I just don't like paying for your damages all the time" I said in my defense.
"You shouldn't be mucking stalls" an oh so familiar voice said. i looked up into Michal's eyes. The misty blue eyes that I had trusted for two years. "well someone has too" I said glaring. "Isn't that why you pay a board fee?" he rested his head on the stall door. "why are you here Mike?" I murmered tiredly. "To help you out" he said. "YOu want to help me out?" I scoffed. "Well you know the day you called my mother had picked up on her phone in her room. I didn't know. she said she would turn me into to the police if I promised to help raise our child" He swallowed hard. "So you were forced into this?" I snorted. "Michal, if you don't want to, then don't. It wouldn't be fair to any of us" i said. I wheeled the wheel barrow out to the spreader and threw the muck into it. "Zoe listen, I wasn't thinking. I'm sorry." he said. "That's right, you weren't thinking" i hissed. "And i won't accept your pitiful immature and boyish apologies"I threw the pitchfork and wheel barrow down. Beads of sweat and tears collided and streamed down my face as i marched off. I shut Magics stall doors and ran to my car. I sat at the front of the wheel, unsure of what to do or where to go.
I wiped my face and stepped out of the car and proceeded to the lounge. The warm air seemed to suffocate me. I ran the the refridgerator and cooled myself I grabbed a soda and sat on the couch and bathed in it's coldness. I looked up again and michal was there. He sat down infront of me. "Is-is it a boy or a girl?" he asked. "IT's both you idiot"I said harshly. "We're having twins." It wasn't a question, and if it was it was rhetorical. "I found out yesterday!" spat. "Five months today" i added. "OH Zoe, I'm so sorry" he grabbed my hand. I bursted into more tears and collasped into his arms. "Michal it's so scary, my parents blame eachother for this and hate eachother and I had to leave. They hated me." sputtered. His strong arms squeezed tighter. "Zo, you've gotta stop being so emotional, just--just put them up for adoption" he sighed. "I can't. I am keeping them"I sobbed. "Michal, I was so scared yesterday when i found out that i was having twins. I considered it all so much. I was so afraid. Please.....Please don't...don't g-go" i bawled. He cupped his hands around my face and wiped my tears. "Stop, Stop crying Zoe" he demanded. "We can't figure this out until you do" he added gently. Here I was, in the arms of my boyfriend, the boyfriend that raped me, and here i was with him and I couldn't have loved anyone more than I loved him for being there.
WE sat in my apartment and stared at eachother. "Twins," He said. "Twins" I nodded. "Zoe, if we put them up for adoption they might be split up, if we each take one, they'd be split up. " Obviously" I said harshly. "Look we're supposed to be figuring this out like adults. We're both going to be 18 in two weeks so let's serious." I nodded. "And we both don't want to get married" he said. "well we do...but not to eachother" I reminded him. He nodded. "and we both want to have contact with both of them" he said. "RIght" I nodded suddenly craving a juicy piece of ruby red watermelon. "It's the middle of winter, there isn't a single watermelon to be found" mike laughed. "Oh Tapioca pudding!" I said. "That i can do" he siad grabbing my keys he ran to the store. That's when it suddenly became clear. I ran to the door. "Room mates!" I yelled. "What?" We can be room mates, i mean come on! You could move up here a help raise them with me while we both main tain separate romantic lives!" He walked over and stared at me. "I can't do that?" "why?" "Zoe I'm still hopelessly inlove with you" he murmered. He rested his hands on my hips I drew in and we kissed. It was like our first kiss, full of promise. "I'll move in" he said. I nodded and kissed him again. he led me back inside. "Stay here, I"ll get your pudding' he kissed my lips and the was gone. I sat on the couch where i'd been left. Totally bewildered. "Things are beginning to look up Trix" i said. She barked and brought her shoe to me.. I laughed and threw it she jumped up into my lap and rested her head in my lap until Michal arrived back.
