"Hey cutie" Jason patted my neck as he put the new object around my face I backed away from him uneasily. "Settle down Noel, it's just a new halter" he said quietly. I snorted and tramped to the back of the stall. "Noel settle down, you wanna go out and play right?" he asked. I cocked my head and continued to move away from him. He frowned at me and sat down beside Nana who was letting my puppy nurse. I stared at Jason feafully. "what's up with you?" he asked. I snorted. Patsy was still dozing. "I was going to let you out with Jojo" He added. I flicked my ears around. and then slowly walked over towards him. "that's a good girl" he slowly put the halter around my head. I threw it up and pranced around him.
The paddock was dry and the grass was pretty much dead. I swished my tail around excitedly and watched as Chrissy brought jojo. I whinnied out shrilly and he answered. coarsly.
Jason let me loose and i cantered over to where jojo was standing. he nickered and began to sniff me over. "You're cute" he nickered. "Thanks" i squealed with utter delight. I reared and jumped ready to play. Jojo sniffed me up and down and then nipped my rump. "OUCH" i turned angrily and charged. He crowhopped to the side and took off galloping. I charged after him. i finally caught up with him and was out of breath. I layed down on my side and heaved for a while. "you better learn how to breathe when you run, or you'll never make it around that race track" Jojo nickered sniffing my stomach. i lifted my head. "What?" i was curious now. "Well you're a thoroughbred and my guess is you're going to be racing this time next year. You better know how to breathe so you can win." he said simply. I snorted and looked over towards the gate. Patsy was being led towards us. I whinnied she nickered praise back. i watched as the turn out person let go of her lead and she trotted over. "Patsy this is Jojo" I said politely introducing them Patsy and Jojo sniffed eachother and soon patsy was grazing. I followed her closely and watched jojo do piroettes and sidepasses with amazing grace.
"Can you teach me?" I whickered nosing him. He looked at me. "YOu taught me, so you can teach yourself Samantha" He licked my nose. I tossed my head up. "Seriously jojo teach me" I nipped him. "YOu little wretch" he whinnied. I whinnied and took off full speed. He wasn't chasing me though. I looked over and he was grooming patsy and vice versa. I wanted my bath and trotted over. Patsy turned and winked at me. "come here child, look at how dirty you've become" She started grooming me. "Jojo promises to teach you when your time comes love" Patsy whickered. I stared at him with admiration as he practiced his movement. "I wanna do those things" I whispered. "YOu will when you're old enough" Patsy said again.
When we were brought in, I nursed myself to sleep with Nana and the puppy (Can't remember what i named her aat the moment).
When i woke up later thaat afternoon jason was watching me. I nickered and nosed him quietly. "You're so cute" he said patting my nose. "shrimp" He added. I nipped his shirt and began wagging my tail. "Oh you wanna play or something?" he laughed and gave me another pat. "Well you'll have tomorrow to play and get muddier than you already are!" he smiled. I watched as he walked away. I turned around and dozed in the warm rays of sunlight until supper time.
