I walked to my water bucket and gulped down the wonderful cold water. I was burning up and I knew that the baby was going to be coming soon. I was scared and excited. I wondered how I was supposed to have a baby. Hank, the stable boy interuppted my thoughts when he haltered me. "come on Noel, we have to see what is going on inside you." He patted my neck. Slowly I walked to the end of the aisle, Heather was waiting with that strange boy again and I wanted so much to find out who he was.
"Well, she's due any day now, so what I want to do is take her to a nice stable about thirty minutes from here, it has a real nice birthing facility and I'm only five minutes from there. If there are any complications I am not far," He smiled. "Okay, well then let's get a trailor ready," Heather's father agreed. I followed Hank into the trailor and sighed. Where was I going now?
When we got to the destination something about the smells ignited a flame of familiarity and I let out a high pitched whinny. Suddenly I remembered Jojo, and I wondered if he was here, waiting for me. I turned around and the humans helped me step out of the trailor, I followed their smells into a stall that smelled like lots of little horses and a distinct taste of love embraced me. I walked into a large roomy stall, and found some hay.
"Now what?" Said a voice. "Well we'll talk to the owners, get some cameras set up, and then we just wait and see. I nickered and sniffed Heather's pockets, "Sorry girl I don't have any" I moaned, as a sharp pain punched my sides. I walked to a far corner and then lyed down, that wasn't comfortable though, so I stood up.
A few hours later there were more voices, I was really tired and hungry and hot, so I let out another loud whinny. "Ohhh," A soothng voice nickered. "Noel? What in the world!" I knew this person, but I didn't at the same time. "Hang on I'll bring you some more water and hay" she walked off and was back moments later. "I drank up and then went to the dark corner of my stall and started pacing. "Uh ohh" She said and then ran off.
