Yes I can - without a union!!!!! When I finish school I will be making $200 + dollars an hour...without unions!! Now granted I won't be an electrician - but you see my point.
I wouldn't call $30 an hour great wages - I was making twice that much teaching clarinet lessons in high school.
Apparantly you don't know that electricians who don't work for the unions make between $50 and $120 per hour! Stay in your little union job and make less then prevailing wage...and pay dues for nothing...but real electricians make three times as much as you do! All you get from a union is health benifits - which you can buy yourself for around $70 per month. Everyone has a voice no matter where they work - union or not. If you're worth anything as an employee the company will work very hard to keep you there. If you're not, well, then of course they're not going to care.
See the light and drop the archaic union. |
