Hello

Thanks for the extremely interesting site. I've found lots to look at and lots of things I'd forgotten about Will Hay. I certainly wish I had read your review of The Goose Steps Out before buying it on EBay recently. I remember it was shown, in its entirety, on the television but that must have been twenty years ago.

I started watching the films with my Dad when I was a child and have loved them ever since.

I'm currently doing research into British comedy films of the Second World War for my degree dissertation, although it is difficult getting to see many of the films, as they are currently not popular releases on video.

If anyone out there has any interesting stories, or perhaps a collection of films from this period, I would be delighted to hear from you. I would especially like to see a film called Gasbags, with the Crazy Gang (and Moore Marriott) and, of course, the full version of The Goose Steps Out.

Wonderful site. Thanks Again.

Thanks for the positive feedback.

May I recommend another YahooGroup: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/cinemabritain/

I think you may find this can help you with your query. There are lots of interesting articles posted there.

Good luck with your dissertation. Are you planning to publish it?

Cheers

Steve
