Dear All,

I guess that there are plenty of you on this forum that know far more about Mr W. T Hay than me!
I enjoy Will's films very much and so do my children now. He has been a hero of mine since childhood however things took an exciting turn for me about 8 years ago when I found out that like me Will had been a keen amateur astronomer.(I was just euphoric)
Since then I have searched for information on his life & interest in the field of astronomy. I have traced and had the pleasure of using 2 of his telescopes but I still seek the one he found the Great White spot on Jupiter with in 1933(6" Cooke refractor). Can anyone help my quest.

I wish to write up the search & the history in a paper for the British Astronomical Association of which Will was a valued member.

Any information around his instruments, observing buddies, observatories especially at Hendon would be sooooo welcome.

Thanks in advance, Dale
