I live in Basingstoke and my children went to Cliddesden School so I knew something about the filming of Hey Mr Porter! I have just ordered the DVD from Amazon. On Friday I went to an Indian Restaurant at Viables Craft Centre it was once an old farmhouse, the owner told me that he often has American tourists turn up to take photos of the restaurant as it was one of the locations in Hey Mr Porter! also part of the old track can still be seen in the middle of the roundabout which is knowm as Viables Roundabout, it was left to pay homage to the old line. Viables is about 0.5 - 1 mile from Cliddesden, I will watch the DVD to see if I can see an old farmhouse that resembles the now Indian Restaurant
