Not sure of the exact trade deadline. I read on the white board that the Canes have two weeks to get down to 2 imports. Speculation is they are going to keep Sbisa but they are not good and would be crazy to keep him - he won't be back next year. Imagine how good the Ams would be with an addition like Sbisa!

I had someone tell me yesterday that Sbisa had been traded to The Hawks for Wotherspoon and a 4th round pick! Holy CRAP!!!! Just imagine!?!?! Totally had me goin, they had a GREAT laugh at my expense.... I had nightmares! LOL!...The JERK!

Spokane Chiefs have Traded Dustin Donaghy to Lethbridge for a 6th round pick. Donaghy's addition gives the Canes 4- 20's and 3-Euros. Pretty good indication that Valchar (20yo-Euro) will be the guy the Canes move. Unless they're dealing Sbisa somewhere else.... (Donaghy is a defensman)

This is where teams that are truly trying to maintain consistently good teams benefit. Sbisa would be gold for a team that could make a run which Lethbridge is clearly not going to do. He could also garner a tidy little some for the future of your team.

Trade Sbisa for future talent. Maybe a 16 or 17 with potential plus a future consideration. Worst thing Lethbridge could do as a team is hang onto this kid unless they had to make some promises just to get him back.

As much as I liked Hickey, OB and Scott last year, the T-Birds weren't going anywhere post season and probably could have gotten quite a bit of future talent for the 3 of them that might just be helping us out now.
