Almost 6 months POST-Accutane

Hi Everyone,

I haven't been on since about May cuz that is when my treatment ended.

I am back to share that I am starting to break out horrifically again. I used to get humoungous zits but never any cysts the entire 6 month course of my treatment(Dec/04-May/05). In the final month I was switching 80mg one day, and 120mg the next..... I looked like a beast up until about 3 weeks before my treatment ended.

Then, my skin was perfect! Not a zit in sight. However, now I have terrible dugs on my face from when I picked at the active zits... so my advice is DON'T TOUCH THEM! I know its hard not to get rid of the painful ones or the ones that protude... but keep your hands off... my face is proof enough. I will send pics to anyones e-mail if you want to see the after affects.

I found it took about 2 months for the red scars to heal entirely. I also found that if I ever cut myself by mistake, I have permanent scars from the potency of Accutane.

Well my problem is this now and I need advice from other Post-Accutanee's... I have tiny little breakouts all along my forehead near the hairline... a patch on my right cheek closest to my mouth and a couple on the left side of my mouth approx. the same heigh as the other ones...

Has anyone broken out severely POST-accutane and how long after you finished treatment did you start getting pimples/break outs again? I had a completely clear complexion from May til about the week of Nov 14/05, but now I am starting to break out again.

Anyone else want to share their horror stories?

If my skin progressively worsens, i would NEVER go back on Accutane again... only Minocin which I used previous to Accutane, which worked like a charm and kept my skin clearer for MUCH longer, and it was a heck of a lot cheaper too!($$$)
