Hi all,
Well, I am only on my 5th day of accutane.....BUT.....my doctor's office called me today and told me to get off of the accutane for 2 weeks, then come back in and do another blood test. Apparently, my original bloodtest that I took last week shows that my bilirubin is slightly above normal. BUMMER!
The nurse asked me if I am a moderate drinker, but I do not drink alcohol, at all. So, to figure this out, I did a yahoo search on accutane and billirubin, and I found a correlation with Tylenol and Tylenol PM. I take two Tylenol PMs almost every night, because sometimes I have trouble falling asleep. Well, I will stop this.
I read that ACETAMINOPHEN can increase your bilirubin count. That's the only thing I can think of, because I am a pretty healthy guy.
So, I'm of course, going to stop taking Tylenol PM, and I am hoping my blood work will be ok when I go back in two weeks.
I'll update you all,
Jeff |
