Ok im seriously fustrated with my treatment so far. I started accutane 40 mgs back in november. Did one month of treatment and my skin went from bad to worse to bad. My dermatologst then up'd me to 80mg. After a week I got my blood test and my triglycerides had a slight elevation from baseline. For those 2 weeks my skin got worse. When I went back to 40 mgs my face started to slowly improve (for about a month) and I was actually starting to feel happy about my progress. Then just recently for the past few days, all the slight red marks all started to become re-inflammed and now my face is probably the worse its been since treatment. I was wondering if anyone had a similar experience like this. I have an appointment in 2 weeks which I may try and move up since I did not expect this to happen. All in all, my total treatment has been 3 mths and 2 weeks (3 mth at 40mg and .5mth at 80mg.
Initially I begun treatment because the creams and antibiotics i've been using for the past 13 years wasn't cutting it anymore. I am 26 now and just fed up with everything.
