This post is not meant to knock accutane or to sell any product, but I have heard some amazing things from actual living breathing humans about taking b5 for acne. It involves takes 10 grams a day of B5 until your acne starts to clear up (which apparently takes from either a few weeks to a few months) and after it clears up you can tapper down to a few grams a day for as long as you need to. There are no side-effects and overdosing is not possible. B5 essentially works the same way that accutane does, by stopping oil production in the skin.
The reason Im posting this is because Ive tried accutane 3 times, and though it works amazingly for me, the results only last a few months. Im looking for any other alternative. B5 is much cheaper, doesnt require a prescription, and works the same way that accutane does, which is the only thing ive ever used thats helped my acne. Believe me, any time i see some dumb add about vitamins and diet clearing up acne I laugh, but go to some acne message boards and look up b5. tons of people are saying it works for them. Im going to be starting my own b5 regimen next week and hopefully it works. | |
