The same thing happened to my husband except he has to skip an entire month.
ipledge is the new FDA program which started March 1, 2006 that is supposed to ensure women do not get pregnant while on accutane (see ipledgeprogram.com). It is very strict about when you can get a refill (for both males and females). You can't refill more than once every 30 days, and you only have a 7 day window to actually pick it up. If you miss the 7 day window, you have to wait the extra 23 days until you are eligible for your next 30 day refill.
Unfortunately, the 7 day window was during our vacation and although he saw his derm a week early to hopefully get the refill before we left, they couldn't give him the refill. It also took them another week to figure out what the problem was and let him know he would have to wait a month.
