I did try Spironolactone and it made me mental. I felt very strange and couldn't deal with it at all. Hard to say because everyone's body chemistry is different. Doesn't hurt to try but I would stick it out with the Accutane if you can. I have a lot of joint & muscle pain but refuse to quit. The acne is my enemy at this point.
