cortisone shots and or cream causes cancer if used often

I have had cortisone shots and have used the hydrocortisone cream 2.5% for my humongous cystic acnes before. They work great but i was told by my derm that too much of it can cause cancer, and she warned me not to use them often. Just thought to mention that since the cortisone shot was mentioned frequently in the journal or the postings
