Yesterday (8th April) Jenny and I went to a location in Hereford to film a piece for BBC1's Countryfile about the dandelion and its many uses. Jenny chatted about the medicinal uses of the dandelion with the presenter Ben Fogle, and I made a dandelion soup and a salad, I also chatted about all the other things you can do with dandelions.
The soup went nothing like it was supposed to, it was all very rushed and instead of doing things step by step, they crew had me throw everything in the pan all at once, and it came out looking like dandelion mashed potato, but it tasted nice lol! I'm going to put both recipes on the website in the next few days, after having made them at home to take pictures of what they should look like.
The programme is to air on Sunday 27th April at the usual Countryfile time (around 11am). I do have some photos that I'll get sorted out and add one here soon. Jenny and I both had great fun representing the Herb Society, let’s hope this will be the first of many opportunities to publicise the society
