Just gathered some rose hips for syrup and on my journey came across a wonderful whitethorn bush laden with good sized fruit (how I missed it in the past I do not know). Having completed my 2009 compliment of Sloe Gin and unable to resist the temptation of gathering the juicy berries; I am left wondering if we have a recipe anywhere that would combine my rose hips with my fresh picked sloes. Medicinal purposes of course. ( my present 2 gallons of Sloe Gin will be enough I feel without getting totally sloshed on an extra rosehip/sloe alcoholic concoction).Thanks(hic).
