  • Clinical examination and diagnostics for herbalists

    • Posted Mar 1, 2012 6:49 PM

Archway Herbal Clinic is running a new series of clinical examination workshops for Herbalists.
Many practicing herbalists and herbal students lack confidence in the system for physical examination which has been borrowed from mainstream medical science. This series of workshops, will help demystify this system, and enable each participant to develop a grounded, meaningful and integrated practice for examination and clinical diagnosis.
Focusing on clinical examination, the workshops will also refresh knowledge of underlying pathological processes, presentation of dis-ease and place this knowledge in the context of likely scenarios in herbal practice.
      Thursday 6.30 - 9.00 p.m. 8th March-Ear, Nose and Throat;29th March-Gynaecology;12th April-Urogenital;26th April-Dermatology;10th May-Paediatrics;7th June-Consultation techniques from pattern to detail.
Each session is limited to a small number of people (max 15) to ensure individual attention and a supportive environment. There will be opportunity for practicing what has been learnt and the learning will be assisted by handouts, in the form of mindmaps.
