I have just finsihed writing an article on the origins of natures healers, and came across Hildegard of Binghem. I am fascinated by the use of nature across the centuries to promote healing and especially the use of herbs. Is anyone aware of any books, on or about Hildegard of Binghem or a simplified version of her book Cures and Causes?
I have a passion for nature due to my heritage, and the fact my grandmother was a herbalist. Therefore I have been raised with an appreciation of nature and, the very fine balance man needs to maintain. It is due to this that I have researched and written the article on 'the origin of natures healers'.

Thanks
Lynne

Hi Lynne

Can you let us know where we can find your article? It's always good to read about early herbalists. I have her "Holistic Healing" and a CD of her plainsong called "A feather on the Breath of God". She really was an amazing woman and very powerful despite her sex. I was very interested to read somewhere than a lot of her visions came from suffering migraine - something I'm very familiar with in my family!

Best wishes

Sarah
