I know its been a while since I've added new stuff to the site, but I've been busy working on updates over the past few days. My apologies to all the lovely ladies that submitted these articles a while ago when they were seasonal. Still they still make interesting reading and they will serve as reference for next year and the years beyond. I still have 'The Herbmonger' articles to do from July to September so they will follow shortly. Then a few other new items which will be seasonal! So without further ado below is the 'blurb' taken from the current front page of the site, detailing the new articles.
Our Herbs In The Kitchen section has had several new articles added this month. Sarah Head has written two new articles for us as part of the Hedgerow To Kitchen series on using Elderflowers to pamper the skin, and on the Dog Rose with details and recipes for using the rosehips and petals for the body, and as food.
From Linda Harrold we have a Preserved Salad recipe, from Gervaise Markham, most famed for his book The English Huswife.
I've also gone back in time and put back an article by Jan Greenland on Pomegranates and Herbs in 17th Century Cuisine which contains some delightful recipes such as Grand Sallet and Jan's famed Pork Roulade.
