Herbs to grow in wet and windy North Wales

I grew most kinds of herbs successfully down in the south of England but have since moved to wet and windy beautiful North Wales. What herbs grow best in this climate (apart from the various kinds of mint!)

Many thanks.
Charmaine

Hi Charmaine happy.gif

Off the top of my head I don't know which herbs would grow well in North Wales, but if I may suggest you contact Jane O'Dwyer via her website www.janesherbplants.com she will be able to advise which herbs she has most success with as she grows herbs for sale and is based in North Wales.

Also Corinne and David Tremaine-Stevenson at the Herb Garden & Historical Plants Nursery may be able to help www.historicalplants.co.uk they are based in Angelsey in North Wales and specialise in herbs, wild flowers and rare and unusual native plants, so they may have some tips for you. Please do come back with any info you gather as I'm certain it will be useful to others looking for the same information in the future.
