I have recently bought a copy of "A Thai Herbal" by C.Pierre Salguero(2005 Silkworm Books,Chiang Mai)>It has a substantial materia medica section, containing not only herbs used in Thai traditional medicine, but also many herbs and spices which have found there way into western herbal practice. There are sections on traditional massage and saunas which play an important role in Thai medicine, together with a culinary section as many Thai recipes are credited with medicinal benefits.

The Herb Society[together with NIMH]receive a mention in the appendices under Herbal Medicine contacts in Europe, also "Herbs" magazine.

When I am next in England[hopefully May]I shall send a copy of this book to Sulgrave for the Library.

Hi Kevin happy.gif

Just had a look at the book you mentioned on Amazon, you can see some sample pages and they show the index page http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/reader/1844090043/ref=sib_dp_pt/277-0168227-1587065#reader-page It's lovely that the Herb Society gets a mention and thanks for letting us know happy.gif Most kind of you to donate a copy to the HS library, I look forward to reading it in due course.
