Hi Daniel

The world of allergies is a huge and complex one and not one I have studied in detail, so I'm hoping some of our more experienced members may be able to help your query. The British Society for Allergy and Clinical Immunology have an extensive website athttp://www.bsaci.org/ which you may find helpful.

The general herbs for hayfever prevention are sage and thyme taken in therapeutic doses for three months before the pollen season starts i.e. Dec-March.

If you are talking about other kinds of allergies then there are the exclusion trials for the three main food culprits - wheat, dairy products and sollenacias - potatoes, peppers and tomatoes. Three weeks exclusion of each food type in turn and then gradual reintroduction.

I've not worked with lungwort at all, so I'm afraid I can't comment on that herb.

Best wishes

Sarah
