As I mentioned in a previous post I'm working on a talk/slideshow on spices for the MHG, whilst doing some research I came across the fact that next month there's a National Curry Week
, being a fan of curry, I thought other curry lovers may be interested. Curries use so many wonderful herbs and spices and you can't beat toasting and grinding your own curry blends (one of the demos I'm going to do at the talk) spices seem to get so negelected as far as I'm concerned, they seem to only be used in the winter, especially around Christmas time, but Asian cooks use spices all the year round and with all the health benefits of turmeric, cinnamon and ginger to name but I few, I think we should be using them a lot more year round.
