Does taking Beta Carotene help give a person a natural tan?
I heard this so I would like to know.

I don't really know anything about this, but I know if people eat an excessive number of carrots their skin will take on a yellowish hue reminiscent of jaundice. Not sure if this is what you're trying to achieve.

Taking carotenoids in suffient quantity to produce a 'tan' (and it'd be an un-natural yellow-orange colour) is dangerous to you and your liver. Get out in the sun girl! (remembering to take the usual precautions of course).

The only way to achieve a natural tan is with natural sunlight, which has the added advantage of boosting Vitamin D levels, something most of us could do with a little more of it appears.
