This is the conference/festival season. I was sorry to miss the Herb Society Annual Conference, but I was working up in Newcastle and Lincoln and didn't return until it was all over. I hope it went well.

The weekend after next I shall be joining lots of like-minded people for the 2011 Herbfest at Croydon Hall in North Somerset. It will be a privilege to listen to Rosemary Gladstar, one of the international herbal elders. I hope to see old and new friends at my workshops on becoming a herbwife and working with herbal vinegars.

In September I shall be hosting the Springfield Sanctuary herb festival from 9-11 September in the Cotswolds. Kristina Patmore will be demonstrating herbal dyeing all weekend and there will be herbs for sale, talks about growing and propogating herbs, using them as medicines, and around the house as well as making your own medicines during practical workshops which will include harvesting and digging! There will also be guided herb and wild food walks.

There will be lots of other activities during the weekend including kite displays, live folk music, storytelling and healing. We're funding the weekend through donations, with suggestions of £40 for the whole weekend and £20 per day. Do join us if you are able. Email me if you would like more details or could publicise the event for us in your locality.

Just a quick reminder that it's less than three weeks before the Springfield Sanctuary Herb Festival on 9-11 September.

The full programme can be found herehttp://www.springfieldsanctuary.co.uk/mainfiles/festival_programme.htm

You can contact me by email (just click on my name) if you would like further details.
